What do you offer for women?
Actually, all of our classes can be set up for women. All of our classes are offered to all groups.
What time do the classes start?
Our classes start differently based on the actual class and class demands. All day classes generally start at 8am.
Do you have custom classes?
Yes, in regards to personal safety and protection, we can customize your class to suit your needs. Please econtact us with your needs.
Do I have to bring any items of my own?
Please plan to bring paper and pen to the classes. If you are attending a class with range time, eye and ear protection is needed in addition to your firearm and ammunition. A full list of materials is included in the information you will receive after registration. No ammunition is allowed in the classroom!
What if I don’t have hearing protection, eye protection, ammo or firearms?
Firearms and ammo can be rented during range time. Please see rental fees. Take Aim Carolina (TAC) has limited eye and ear protection for use at no additional charge.
Can my whole family attend a class?
Yes! Some classes are set up for entire families. Other classes can be created to meet a need your family has. Contact us if you are interested in something that you don’t see. We can create custom classes for your family or families in your neighborhood!
Can I schedule a class for just “my” group?
Yes! If you have a group with the same interest, we can set up a class just for you. Your group can come to our classroom or Mobile TAC can come to you. As the host/hostess of a group class, if you have 8 paid participants, you attend free!
Are private lessons available?
Yes, our instructor is available for private or small group lessons in the classroom or at the range. Prices range from $35/hour for private or $60/hour for 2 participants or $75/hour for 3 participants.
How old does a child have to be to attend a class?
Ages range for children according to the classes that they take. We have Eddie Eagle and safety classes for children ages Pre-k to 8. Firearm safety classes from ages 6 and up. We also offer basic shooting classes for older children and Hunter Safety classes will be added in the fall. Please see course descriptions for more details.
Do women have to attend the Women’s only classes?
No! Women’s only classes are designed for women who may not have a lot of firearm experience to learn in an environment with similar participants. We want to encourage a comfortable environment for asking questions. We are aware of the varying firearm abilities of today’s woman and invite them to attend any class they are interested in!
Are the classes and range located in the same building?
No. Our classroom is in the city limits of Greensboro, and our range is an outdoor range located approximately 20 miles away. We are required to shoot outside of the city limits. Please see the location page for more details.
